MASTRY NAMED JCB INDUSTRIAL ENGINE DISTRIBUTOR
Expanding its industrial diesel power offerings, Mastry Engine Center recently became a JCB Power Systems engine distributor. The agreement complements Mastry's Yanmar industrial engine lineup of up to 85 hp, as JCB's multipurpose models range from 74-173 hp.
The higher horsepower engines from JCB enable Mastry to broaden industrial product offerings, including power units for equipment manufacturers, irrigation pumps, sewage stand-by pumps and DC generators. JCB's range is comprised of mechanical and electronic engines, with various models compliant to EPA Tier II, Tier III or Tier IV Interim emissions standards.
"JCB makes a quality, reliable product. We can now meet the higher-horsepower needs of our customers, and in some cases are a single-source supplier to simplify their businesses. They can turn to Mastry for all of their industrial sales and support," said Kevin Carlan, general manager.
Founded in 1945, UK-based JCB is still a family-run business with sales in more than 150 countries and facilities on 4 continents. In 2006, JCB Dieselmax broke the land speed record for diesel-powered cars, using twin 750 hp engines to push the custom vehicle to over 350 mph.
MASTRY EXPANDS GENSET RANGE WITH ENTEC WEST ACQUISITION
Mastry Engine Center has acquired the assets of Entec West, which offers US-built 4.2 kW marine gensets using Farymann diesel engines. The agreement is inclusive of all castings, drawings and trademarks, and creates an OEM relationship between Mastry and Farymann. Entec West was headquartered in Portland, Oregon, and carried Farymann engines for nearly 40 years. Germany-based Farymann's history dates back to 1947, with the company specializing in producing diesel engines for many marine and industrial applications.
"This is a strategic addition to our current MasPower generator line. With the compact dimensions and lightweight design of these small units, we now have solutions for boats with very limited space below deck," said Kevin Carlan, Mastry general manager. "The direct relationship with Farymann enables us to more efficiently serve our boatbuilder customers and repower dealers, and will create new opportunities." With an integrated engine start/stop capability and Secure Start engine security, the innovative 12-volt M200 Series Monitoring System provides detailed digital engine data. It measures battery voltage, coolant temperature, oil pressure, boost pressure, engine speed, fluid level and rudder angle on an easy-to-read M701 display. The flexible display configuration features soft function keys and adjustable contrast and backlight.
Designed for the harsh marine environment, the M200 Series Monitoring System installs easily and quickly as the M200 Engine Interface connects and mounts directly to JH and LP engines. Providing NMEA CANBus power, the advanced system also includes a plug'n'play engine to helm harness, main and second helm rocker switch ignition panels, VDO sender inputs and configurable US/Euro fluid level sensors.
