6.2 MPI
The 6.2 MPI Inboard produces 320 hp and an abundance of low-end torque from its custom-built small block architecture, making it a great choice for boats that need a little extra torque to get on plane or for owners just looking for that perfect combination of light weight and power. Fitted with our Multiport Injection (MPI) and advanced engine control systems, the 6.2 MPI is a solid and reliable performer. Like all MerCruiser inboards, the 6.2 MPI is available with a large variety of popular transmissions to fit virtually any application. Available DTS (Digital Throttle & Shift) is mated to a direct-acting electric shift transmission. DTS eliminates cable maintenance and provides consistent and precise throttle and shift control and never requires any adjustment. DTS can automatically synchronize multiple engines, provides shift protection and includes SmartStart digital starting. It also features Transmission Guardian to automatically protect against damage from overheating or low fluid levels.
